Facebook data scandal “a wake-up call for consumers”
Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg on Wednesday admitted that the social media company "made mistakes" that led to tens of millions of users’ data being compromised. Data analytics firm Cambridge Analytica has been accused of improperly obtaining and using the data via a personality quiz app, which is said to have influenced the 2016 US presidential election result.
